They learned from historical sources that the founder of the Mongol Empire, Chinggis Khan, was born in the region called Deluun Boldog. Today, in the territory of Dadal district in Khentii aimag of Mongolia, there is a place called Deluun Boldog where Chinggis Khan was reportedly born. Chinggis Khan was born in the harsh winter of 1162, near the Onon River in the region known as Deluun Boldog, from the union of Yesugei Baghatur and Hoelun Khatun. Deluun Boldog is located on the belcher of the Onon River, to the right of Onon Balj River, towards the north on the correct side of Onon River, and it is a vast pastureland with a giant granite rock protruding towards the south. In fact, Deluun Boldog has a peculiar shape. Its latitude and longitude are approximately 49.03.143 east and 111.38.546 north, with an altitude of about 982.8 meters above sea level. It is said that the shape of Deluun Boldog resembles a lying calf. Therefore, historians have named it "Onon's Deluun Boldog" where Chinggis Khan was born. The word "Deluun" means "wide landscape," and "Boldog" means "meadow," according to Mongolian terminology.

In 1962, a monument dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the birth of Genghis Khan was erected in the area of the Gurvan Nuur of Dadal soum in Khentii aimag. The statue was created by the sculptor L. Makhval and stands 12 meters high, 10 meters wide at the base, and made with 4 meters of bronze, symbolizing the unity and strength of the Mongolian people. In front of the statue, a quote from an ancient Mongolian script reads, "Let my enemies fear me, let my friends love me. Let not my enemies love me, nor my friends fear me." On the left side of the statue, there is a relief depicting the legendary history of Genghis Khan and on the upper right side, the white banner of the state emblem is shown. On the right side, there is an inscription that says, "Dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the great state founder Genghis Khan."
